Looks like I'm first.........

My father in law was relatively new to web browsing and emails. He was trustworthy to the point that he'd give out his email address at every request....oh boy!

He finally called me and said that he'd had enough. He was getting close to 400 spam emails a day.

My first thought was to get his email address changed but he wasn't keen on the idea. He was afraid he'd miss a "real" message if he changed it.

So, I downloaded and tested CA Anti-spam.

The thing worked beautifully. As soon as you install it and get it to "learn" what's good and not good, it starts to work.Very easy to install and very user friendly.

Pretty much took care of the spam messages.

The only drawback is that it keeps a spam folder locally. It doesn't take much time to start eating up disk space. The default storage time for filtered messages is 30 days. (30 days x 400 messages = less disk space).
Fortunately you can adjust it.

It worked great for what we needed and eventually he changed his email address and the way he browses the internet.
